Laura joined the Psychosocial Oncology and Clinical Practice Research Group (POCPRG) in 2009 to work on a Macmillan funded study to determine the feasibility of running a large-scale longitudinal cohort study to assess psychosocial outcomes in survivors of adult cancer using the internet. Before joining the POCPRG Laura worked as a research fellow at the Bradford Institute for Health Research (Bradford Royal Infirmary) on studies concerned with improving the safety of chemotherapy administration and trialling a new drug error reporting system. She completed her PhD in health psychology, concerned with the health effects of written emotional disclosure, at the University of Leeds in 2009 and prior to that her BSc psychology (Hons) degree at the University of Leeds in 2004.
