Rob joined the group in February 2013, prior to which he spent many years working in industry developing various software systems for different industries including a medical triage system for “out of hour’s” medical centres, a rota system capable of planning care support for Autism Plus, a learning management system used by universities, military & the NHS and a production management system for the capture, analysis & reporting of real-time data from factory production lines.

 

Research & Teaching

Rob has spent 10 years working in research & development at Lincoln University where he was researching the use of computers for cognitive based learning of complex problems by developing real-time 3D simulations of physical systems and using adaptive learning management systems. During this time he also taught undergraduates in the following subjects: Interfacing with computers, Structured programming methodologies, Programming real-time 2d & 3d graphics, Programming real-time physics (simulation) and Applied digital signal processing.
